The DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion) committee addresses:
- Plurality of identities (based on gender, role, sexuality, socioeconomic level, age, disability, ethnicity, and religion)
- Equity of opportunities and accessibility (in the workplace and the community) and inclusion.
Looks that diversity is integrated, and all people are present and represented, starting from Aerolab.
Its three main objectives are to learn, inform/educate, and take action. It aims to expand knowledge of the committee's themes and share this information to enrich Aero's culture and move into action.
The DEI Committee carries out various internal actions at Aerolab as:
- The newsletter called Diversidata where new developments, audiovisual content, notes, and different learnings were shared with all Aerolabers on a monthly basis.
- This initiative evolved into another format called EfemeriDEIS in 2022, which comes with different cultural recommendations (books, theater plays, movies, series, social media, etc.).
- Additionally, the committee organizes DiversiCharlas, which are talks and workshops where different expert guests are given the space to help us learn more and promote DEI in Aerolab's culture.
- You can also find us involved in an initiative called #operacion, where we foster dialogue on DEI topics on Slack according to the need.
